Could be that darn crankcase overfull code or something else. Without a code its going to be tough to trouble shoot

Make sure to scan it with the truck running, what tune was this? Extreme race? Sounds like an overboost or crankcase overfill

Same thing happened to my buddys truck on our way home from some pulls. he had just gotten new tunes. SCT with Eriks tunes. Playing around on the way home and kept going to reduced engine power. Go into the SCT, clear all codes, and it would be back to normal.

Called Innovative and they said this was common. And they have a fix it tune for it. I guess its thier version of the stock file. They will send it for free via email. Put "thier stock" file on the truck, then the 285 extreme street file back on after that. No problems what so ever any more.

Untill we loaded up the 315 tune for the strip and didnt let the tranny learn it. Bye bye transmission. But thats besides the point. Although it did run a 12.7 @ 103. ECSB, early 08.

It is what they were calling the P30 update IIRC from Ford. Ford was having problems in stock form. The newest update from Ford or an older flash from Ford was the only fix, though the newest flash from Ford would set a wrench on the Ex race tune sometime, the 3.02 update we've been waiting on should fix that so you can run the new Ford flash with no problems hopefully

mine just did it the other day also. i checked it while running (even though it says turn key on dont start engine cause when i followed the livewire it would clear the code as soon as the truck was shut off) and i got p0234 which is the overboost code. going to be contacting IDP to try to get it squared away.

The over boost code could be from running the stock intake with a tune. We got the same code runing IDP 285 and 5 inch ONLY. Stock intake. We were told that was just he stock intake being pushed to its limits...

Running a stock intake isn't gonna throw a overboost code. Over the course of this weekend my truck has went into Reduced Engine Power probably 10 different times. Most of the times it went into it I was pulling a trailer with the cruise set and I would start to climb a hill and as soon as the boost guage pegged out the wrench light came on. I can deal with the light but it pisses me off that the cruise wont work, even if you clear the codes the truck has to be restarted before it will work again. It's nothing to worry about it's just very annoying and hopefully Innovative will realease the new tunes shortly.

So there ain't really a solution for the overboost code? Just gotta wait for new tunes? I didn't notice if my cruise wasn't working i didnt have it on but could tell it was holding it back

I get this occasionally without the REP light. It is like you just lost 75% of fueling, no smoke, nothing abnormal then takes right back off again.

I have not seen the wrench light since deleting.

They have. Call them and tell them your issues while running thier tune. They will send you a NEW stock file to up load to the truck then you can re apply the Innovative tune you were using.
