You want to take them out completely? Then no, thats the only way. But you need them otherwise it'll throw a tire pressure light constantly. You can turn the system off/adjust it with H&S stuff.

The TPMS started on the 09 trucks. As far as putting them in the PVC tube it works but after about a 1/2 hour of driving time you get a tire pressure monitor fault. The sensors need to rotate.

no, the job 3 2008 trucks had them. mine does. just went throught this on my truck. the cheapest thing to do is take them off your wheels you have now and transfer to the new wheels. if you have the banded style sensors. go to ebay and get new bands. that was the cheapest place to get them. they are like a big hose clamp. pry the old band apart where they clamp together. then take a screw driver and pry the sensor off the rim. don't take the sensor out of the cradel they mount in. they are two sided taped on. then reinstall on new rim. sensor has to be 180 off from the tire stem. if you decide to get new sensors they are $$$. they also have diff presures they work at. they go by color. you want green ones i think. they are 120psi sensors. there are aftermarket ones but don't know anything about them. not really hard at all to do.
