Radiator started leaking intermittently at 67k at driver side petcock. Puddle started to appear more often. Didn't even mess with Ford because I knew they'd turn me down and what's the point of putting another piece of junk in? Most independent shops wanted $1000 in labor to put a Mishimoto in, not counting the radiator itself. Maybe they don't realize you don't have to drain the AC. After watching the Youtube video I decided to do it myself. Got one off of ebay from Rudy's for $945 shipped. Took 4-5 hours counting breaks and taking my time. Wasn't bad at all. Literally had my laptop in the garage pausing between each step. The video makes it pretty simple. 8 gallons of antifreeze and I'm back on the road.

So what did you do with the AC condensor up front if you didnt break into the AC system? Just curious in case I ever had to do the job.

There's enough room once you take off the trans cooler and take out the secondary radiator that you can leave the ac condensor in place and pull the primary radiator up and out. There's a good video on youtube that goes over it all.

Not a bad job at all, I had to replace my secondary radiator that lost to a drill bit and it was about 2-2 1/2 hours. If my primary went, is definitely go Mishimoto.

Sorry to hear about the failure of your stock radiator! Thanks for picking up our aluminum unit, great to hear the install went well for you!

Enjoy!

Correct! Our installation guide is linked below for those who want a bit more insight into the process.

Bumping this thread because I am about to put in my 3rd Mishimoto. I'm getting tired of putting these in and might go back to the stock one. 1st Mishimoto lasted less than a year, 2nd one right at a year. I've never been off road and pull occasionally. Mainly my daily driver. The 2nd one is leaking worse. $100 shipping and 6 gallons of antifreeze every time is getting old.

How does it feel to be their test mule? I had a VERY small leak on the OEM driver's side end tank. Swapped it out under warranty for another OEM. Rock solid since with no issues to date.

The coolant can be reused!
