Hey all I am replacing my turbo impeller possibly today. I have the o-ring & everything needed. What all do I need to do? Can I just take the valve cover off, then take the housing off and then spin the impeller off? Or do I need to take the whole turbo off to replace the impeller? Thanks.

Also, I am only replacing it with a stock wicked wheel. My current one is a little dusted.

i think you will need a 12point 8mm or 5/16", heat gun, impact wrench 16mm and 17mm socket and extension
heat old and new compressor wheel before removing/installing it

Right on. If I don't have a heat gun can I put it in the oven? Any idea how hot it should get?

Did everything work out......I know it's been about three years. I looking into doing the same thing.......what did you do? I was hoping to just remove the valve cover to get to the bottom 8mm bolt.
