lets get a tips and guide that everyone has done retrofitting the headlights ! I just got my stuff and am gonna start tomorrow evening ! mini h1 with dummies up top with Apollo shrouds and just white halos for running

I did the same setup but with d2s projectors. Pretty straight forward. Take your time opening the lights and get all the oem sealant out of the channel. I mounted the dummies with bolts/nuts through the back of the housing and used jbweld. I takes some time to adjust the dummies and trim the shrouds to fit. Trim the factory bulb socket down evenly until you can secure the projectors. Test fit them before you do any painting. Great idea. I plan to eventually do a similar build but with the demon eyes. Would love to get some tips and see some ideas before I eventually do mine. I'm sub'd

How did u guys strip the chrome?

Best method to open the lenses?

Oven cleaner and scotch bright pad to strip chrome

Oven at 250° for 14 mins to open and 8-10 min reheats
250° for 7 mins to reseal

I took mine apart before and got all that factory glue off what a pain in the ass!! I painted over the chrome and came out good to me ! how is everyone mounting the halos inside the shroud ? and is there a certain way to install the centric rings I put 2 in and broke 3 clips off the shroud lol

When building them at my place we using an air eraser with 150 grit media to prep the chrome and a self etching primer. Has worked really well.

Biggest thing is to take your time.

man I am scared to just drop in ls460 projectors. I can not paint my shrouds, if so I would just do it and fix with paint. Tough with the pearl, will look like ass in white...

Can go back and adjust them on most projectors. Unless you get the ones you epoxy in place. My cutoff isn't perfect but f it
