We've got the body in the air on my truck yet again for another round of mods. VS and PR were tackled today. Bought a new spring compressor tool kit and it made the job so much easier.
Took a few pictures and figured I would share.
I really need to do a complete build thread but that will be at a later date.

Nice I'm jealous,, maybe a dumb question from a rookie but do you worry about relieving the clamp force of the center head studs? did you just do a couple at a time?

Just two at a time. Lube them back up with arp lube and torque back down.

What spring tool did you use? I was looking at the swamps tool at the moment as I don't plan on pulling the heads.

I couldn't tell you. they come in a white box and don't list seat pressure on there site. I can say they were noticeably stiffer than the stock springs.

For a 6.4 I would buy the swamps tool.

This is the tool we used. It was the only thing the local tool supplier had and it ended up working great.

i was told when i did mine its recommended when you get over 65psi backpressure.

as for the the seat pressure the machine shop that did mine tested an old one and a new one and the old one was about 70lbs and the new one was around 120lbs, not sure how accurate this is maybe river city will chime in.
