Is there any one who has used the Royal Purple Synchromax in their ZF6 trans? I was wondering how it performed... I have read its supposed to help with the synchronized trans, anyone have any input on this and how it performs or performed for you. Thx

Have it in mine. So far so good.

I am not sure what was it in before but I felt shifting got smoother with the RP.

I use it in my transfer case as well.

I had 2 bad experiences with royal purple and it will never go in anything I own again. Run amsoil/redline in everything and like there products. I know people who like royal purple but two motors went down with it in it in a very short time and switched and never had a problem again

It is designed for transmissions with brass blocking rings. Such a tremec performance transmissions.
It will work good other transmissions but the cold operations may suffer. Just drive easy until the fluid warms.

The only complaints I have heard is from the people that had equipment that was already worn out and they thought it would magically put the linings back on the synchronizers

I didnt use rp but I have amsoil in my 01 and it made a good bit of difference in how smooth it shifts in the winter.
