Truck I'm trying to run these on is in my Sign.

I posted this first in aftermarket electronics, didn't seem to generate many views or any responses so ill try here.

I have an Edge CTS 2 plugged into the OBD 2 port. I plan on buying an H&S soon, how can I run both? a 12v kit doesn't exist for the CTS 2 currently (at least not from Edge) and I've heard an OBD 2 splitter will cause the H&S to malfunction/have possible issues. Am I stuck running only one at a time?

i assume you want to run H&S for tune options? if so-just get an XRT pro

As they both use the obd2 port your options are sell the cts and use the mini maxx or keep the cts and use the Xrt pro(same principle as the sct programmers) program and remove. Biggest difference is no on the fly tune changes with the Xrt pro.

Correct. XRT Pro doesn't do Shift on Fly so not an option. I'm not selling the CTS either because its a brand new CTS 2. Has no one tried running two monitors off an OBD II splitter

Typically, the problem with running two monitors off of one OBDII port is there's not enough band width. One or both of the monitors won't keep up. It doesn't hurt anything necessarily but would be annoying for the most part.

Does this always happen ? Or is it just a hit or miss thing? I'm only asking because I've never tried

I would just do an XRT and CTS2, thats what i use and it works perfectly! they have a 12V power supply kit available, i have sold a few. and you can do a somewhat SOTF thingy with the XRT.

Im running a M/M and a Dash Daq at the same time on the pulling truck BUT I dont use the gauge screen on the M/M. Never really tried using the gauge screen on both at the same time. I just like the gauges on the Dash Daq so much better. No issues what so ever.

if you plug the XTR in, you can switch power levels without re-downloading the tune. takes only a few seconds...

I just tested running my minimaxx and phone using the torque app. The torque app doesn't work when the minimaxx is on the guage screen but if I switch the minimaxx to the main menu torque works fine.

Last night I tried using the gauge screen on both my devices at the same time and the M/M freaked out. But with the M/M on the main menu screen the Dash Daq gauges work fine.

I tried it with a splitter and it would not work properly. freeze, wrong values , etc.

So what I did instead was ran the power feed to the mm with an upfitter, then opened up my splitter and cut the power wire so that I could run the cts on an upfitter. Now I just switch the power on or off to which ever one I want to use.
