Running on half the motor

My 03 truck will only run on one side of the motor. I have changed idm vc harness and pigtail to harness. But if you unplugged any of the 4 inj on that side it goes to 7 cylinders?

Do you have another IDM to swap out?

Certainly sounds like something is shorted to me. Did you replace u.v.c.h.'s / harness pigtail in hopes of them curing this issue?

It's started this last week. So I thought it was just a bad vc harness like it usually is. Changed that didn't fix it so I changed the pigtail didn't fix it. Changed the idm didn't fix it. So I pulled the vc back off and thought it was one inj taking the whole side down. So I unplugged #1 and it ran of 7 cyl pluged 1 back in and unplugged 3 same thing. Unplugged 5 then 7 with same results. Will run off 7 cylinders no matter with one you unplug 1,3,5,7 but with them all pluged in shuts the whole side off. I'm gonna pull engine harnwss and look for a short.
