I'm going to be making a trip to moses lake sand dunes this summer. What do you guys lower your air pressure to? I went in the spring time pulling a 30ft bumper pull camp trailer, didn't lower the air pressure in my 7.3. I had a hell of time getting off of the gravel road in 4wd. I was thinking about playing around some in the 6.4 but not sure what to lower the tire pressure to. Any advice is appreciated!

Unloaded I did about 15 or so in front and a little lower in back. Most of the time I would just pull the valve core till it started to ice over or start to whistle. And that did great. I didnt really dune the truck though more of just cruising around dunes watching the idiots break stuff.
Depending on the pin weight of the trailer I would be fine with the same. If the pin weight is really high might take it up a couple psi.
I thought the only non-beadlock wheels were the 1/2 size rims.

Beadlocks are like the ones that are on most rock crawlers, the ones that actually have a ring bolted to another ring that's welded on the wheel and sandwich the bead.

My brother and I both ran 15 in the front and 12 in the rear when we went to Silver Lake last year. We didn't take it easy by any means and had no problems. As long your not doing anything to put a lot of strain on the side walls, like doing donuts you should be fine.

I know what bead locks are.
I am talking about 1/2 sized wheels that the bead of the tire only seats to the edge of the rim. If you look at your rims on your truck you will notice the edge that is vertical then it goes horizontal under the bead. Thats what I am talking about and the reason you can go so low and not pop a bead. On 1/2 sized wheels dont have that, look at a 19.5 or a 22.5 sometime. You can air them down and just push on the side wall to pop the bead.

Thank you, what do you think would be a good psi if I do donuts? This truck has a L/S that works real good haha.

I never had a problem with my 16.5s, I only aired them down to about 20 in the mud. I do get what your saying though.
