Scanner won't connect, truck is not starting.

2000 F450, harness was eaten up at several plugs and not making connection. 42 pin connector was stripped so I replaced engine harness from a 2000, replaced chassis harness from Late 99. Both were in working order prior to install.

It's not a bad pcm or IDM. Both were swapped with same issue.

It's not a bad ground, the truck started and ran prior to this just missed on cyl7. Everything is right (keys, modules, etc.) on scantool. Scan tool will work on truck right next to it.

No blown fuses. PCM is installed correctly.

No wts light, fuel pump does not kick on with key forward. It seems like a PCM issue but it's not. Truck is bone stock, no chip.

Thoughts?

Top left ground doesn't work on a couple of trucks here.
Bottom left doesn't see ground with key off on either truck.

Just throwing this out there. Have you tried your AE on another truck recently? I had one of the pins in my AE plug push back into the plug. Sometimes it worked, othertimes it didn't... ??

OBD II port have power in the 450 Marty. Looks like you eliminated all other possibilities?

I'm using a snap on scanner. I connected to three other trucks today. Its not a scanner issue. its an issue in the wiring in this truck.

it's either got a #30 fuse in the dash smoked, or the PCM grenaded when it was swapped..

All fuses are working.

PCM is fine, works in my truck and my PCM doesn't work in this one.

I guess I need to find a PCM pin-out. There must be wiring issue.

PCM wasn't getting a ground.

Removed and cleaned 2 grounds and everything works perfectly.

I was about to post you need to get the multimeter out and check ground at the PCM then I read your final post LOL.

On a different note speaking with the tech at AE ( i know you are not using this one) there module requires the power from the ODBII port. If you do not have power at that last pin out then AE will not work.

Spoke to my Ford rep, not available yet.

Tarm, whenever. Good luck catching me at my desk though.
