I'm planning on doing full deletes next week but I got the tuner first so naturally I had to try it out. I installed the stock "performance" tune and i noticed an increase in power which was awesome but I was a little concerned about the tranny shifting violently. When I just mash on the throttle and run it through all gears it shifts smooth but when I would get on it a little on city streets then let off I could actually feel the truck shaking because the tranny was shifting so hard. My first though was that by bringing the rpms up and letting off before the truck had a chance to shift naturally I was throwing the system off. Can anyone give me any insight as to why it's doing this. Much appreciated.

Side note...I haven't tried smoking the tires yet...I'm scared lol

Crap, my other question was is there a difference in the actual performance tune from PIP compared to the stock sct performance tune or is it the same tune with delete capabilities?

Sorry guys, I'm a total noob :(

Probably need to do a trans re-learn on it. 0-80 at 1/4 throttle then again at 1/2 then again at full throttle should smooth out the ****ting a little bit. Also these transmissions actually learn over time so it will most likely smooth its self out as well.

I don't have an answer about the tunes sorry

The tranny relearn will definitely give a good head start. I just bought gear head custom tunes since I have heard a Lot of good with them and their transmission tunes helping
With smooth shifting. I'm not Overly impressed with the H&S transmission software. I realize you have the SCT but it could be similar.... Be patient and let it learn for a month. It does Come around over time and get better but I found it still has hiccups...

You put the "canned" tune in it? I assume you also used the performance trans option. That trans file is a bit rough, the pip stuff is completely different.

I have am running the tow trans tune with the steet engine tune. So far I like it. I will be deleting soon and will get to try the "custom" tunes. Do the custom tunes make more power than the standard SCT files?
