I have a SCT 8900 (touch screen) tuner and gages... Everything is working just fine with the tunes but my oil temp never goes about 94 degrees... And anyone with any heat transfer knowledge knows thats not possible due to the laws of heat transfer... By ECT runs about 182-184 and EOT from 92-94... The only thought that I had was that it might be in Celsius for some reason but I cant find anything in the options to choose C or F... but if i calculate it using that temp to F it comes out to 197.6... and if thats the case brings my delta T to 15.6 which in itself throws even more worrying into the equation... anyone seen or heard of this... If its in F then my oil temp sensor must be jacked up which is like a 40 dollar fix at most... Any ideas...?

No its reading C, all SCT devices read oil temp in C for what ever reason. And 197* is fine for oil temp, that's right at where mine reads but your coolant temp is a little low (10* or so) . But other than that everything looks normal.

The thermostats have a rubber grommet on both sides of each thermostat, and on the 6.4 they are known for deteriorating. And the perforations under the rubber just then allow coolant to constantly pass through with the thermostat closed, it gets progressively worse over time as more and more of the rubber erodes away. It will get to the point that once its all gone you wont be able to get up to but about 125* in the winter.

Well that's good to know, this is a 6.0 but I'm sure not much changed in the thermostat between the two... Then again I may be talkin out my ass... That's good considering I live in CT and this has been a mild winter... I'll take a look at it when I yank it...

( Face Palm ) LoL my bad I didn't even realize I was in the 6.0 section, the 6.0 doesn't have the dual t-stats but the single one that's in there is the same type of design. The casting sand left over in the block is whats eating them up, a coolant filter kit would be a good upgrade to do to get rid of the junk in the coolant system.

Because I have been asking SCT for the longest to convert it to F, I also SCT tuning but monitor with a Dasdaq for that ( EOT issue ) and many other reasons. But it would literally be impossible to drive a truck with the EOT under 100*, but trust me that's how SCT reads them. The also won't read back pressure in psi either. It messed up how the split it all up into different measurements.
