sct/edge cts stupid problem....

Have a 04 6.0 w custom tunes using sct (3015 iirc), for some reason I the sct is acting up and I cannot get it to go back to stock tunes, or change tunes etc for that matter. If I go to change the tune it will go to through all of the screens and then say download failed after it tries to download for a few minutes. When I go to tune info on the sct it shows whatever tune I just tried to download as the tune its currently programmed as? Im not sure whats going on there and every time I try to put the truck back to stock it says download failed/ vehicle info not found.


When you go through to the actual vehicle info, under vin etc is says blank although there are 2 different strategy's listed a few screens later


Bottom line what im trying to do is get the cts to moniter so the truck has some gauges in it. The sct worked fine the first time we used it and it has a street tune on (bigger injectors & non vgt set up) that the tune works fine. Problem is the edge will not read the vin automatically and it wants you to enter the vin manually. No problem there, but the problem comes when the edge cts says ( a program needs to be written and may take up to 15 minutes to complete) when the edge writes a program into the truck will it mess up the sct programming at all ? On a Friday afternoon Im not going to be able to get the sct issue resolved if its in the sct or the tuner Im just trying to get some sort of monitoring in the truck for the weekend & going to the beach......

You shouldn'thave to load the edge in period. I run an sct 7015 in my 04 and use a edge cts for gauges. All I did was plug the cts in and type in my vin amd away I went. Nothing had to load at all.

Ps- nice dually in your avatar pic. Pretty sure I did headgaskets and a turbo on it when I worked at MPD.

as far as having to load it after you type the vin on the edge its saying a new program needs to be written and it will take up to 15 minutes. I do not know if its instant or not because I never continued after I saw that particular load screen.Im not sure what it is trying to write and if it will overwrite anything the sct changed?


on the dually thnx it was probably the other year when we were in the middle of getting our shop rennovated, all of that stuff has come off and been changed around. except for gaskets "fingers crossed" LOL

ill check it came in on an auction truck and we returned the truck back to stock, it has the 3 power levels in it I know that because it was on extreme on the truck that came in....
