I have a livewire on my 05 350. Very reliable so far and a breeze to swap tunes with.

Issue:

I was returning it to stock to try some different strategy tunes that I shave. It appears I have lost my stock tune. When returning to stock, it goes through the motions but when it is done, I get dashes in the odometer and the truck won’t start. Nothing, no turning over or anything.

Set it to a VXCF4 strat and it will start just fine, return to stock, nothing.

Set it to a VXCF0 strat, nothing, same as returning to stock.

Set it back to a VXCF4 strat and it will start just fine, return to stock, again nothing.

I think I have the stock file on my laptop but it is not the same file type as the tunes I have...
they are stock.lbu and flash.lbu

any ideas? i am geting new injectors, turbo, exhaust, water/meth inj and studs next week. need to be able to get a stock file and then tunes.

Found this on they're tech support.

SAVING A COPY OF YOUR STOCK FILE

* Now that the drivers are installed, open the X3/Livewire Updater software. There will be a new Icon on your desktop. (Yellow, Orange and White.)
* Once opened, click on the button labeled: "GET STOCK FILE" this will open the window asking where to save your stock file.
* Browse to the location of your choice.
* This will save your files as Stock.lbu and Flash.lbu
* The current format of the file WILL NOT load back onto the tuner as is. If a situation arises where you need to use this stock file, you will need to contact SCT Tech Support to assist you.

Hope it helps...

I have tried to load it but the file extension is wrong I guess. This just happened last week and didn't bother me until today when I plopped down 3K$ for engine upgrades and thought to myself I am gonna need a tune.

Will check their site again. Thanks

SCT took care of it. stock tune got corrupted by the non-my truck specific tune i had.

oddly i had been running it for a year but i did do some strategy swapping and i guess that is a no-no without getting it custom wrote. anyway got the KEM tunes loaded, just waiting for my truck to get out of the shop.
