A guy has a sct live wire on craigslist for sale. He's had it hooked up to 2 vechailes. I have the edge insight. This will be the first time ever tuning my truck. Does it just plug into obd ? And can I shift on fly?

Yes

To change tunes you have to stop, press a few buttons, load the tune you want and go. It doesn't take just to long.

If you're tuning without studs get custom tunes for an unstudded truck. A lot of people have been running tunes specifically made for unstudded trucks with no problems at all, but a lot of headgaskets have been compromised by tunes that put out buttloads of cylinder pressure. You'll also be a lot more pleased with custom tunes, they blow the canned tunes outta the water.

All the folks supplying tunes e-mail the tune to you. If you can recieve an e-mail you can get custom tunes.

You should be OK with a canned tune. You could also ship your SCT to your tuner of choice, have them load your tune and ship it back. More costly, but you would see more benefit as well. Whatever you wanna do.

Thanks. In gonna go meet this guy to buy it. Is there any way the tuner could mess up I'm PCM etc and cause my truck not to start
