Hey guys, I'm new to this site. I'm looking into purchasing a 6.4 this spring. I have been researching both the SCT Livewire and Spartan....I have read about the Gearhead tunes and IDP and that intrested me into getting sct. Of course with my luck the livewires are currently discontuned because of the EPA :fustrate: . I have found a few of them on eBay tho. Just wondering what you guys think about which one would be better or which you guy prefer. The SCT is almost half the cost of the spartan. I just would rather buy a tuner now then later becuase of all this EPA bs going on who knows what they'll do next. Thanks in advanced.

I just got a sct tsx (havent gotten around to getting gearheads tunes yet, but i am.) I also run Spartans tunes and KEMs 345 via dashdaq. With that said spartan has some bad ass tunes and their customer service is second to none! Jeff and Mick (who both work for spartan) are super solid guys and very knowledgeable! So when you decide who to go with take customer service into consideration too.

How are the shifts with spartans 310 and 350 tune?

H&S will run custom tunes (including Gearhead's) and will still maintain shift-on-the-fly.
Do you need the "race tuner" from H&S for that? Becuase I know the "race tuner" will delete dpf but I dont think the "street tuner" will as far as I know. But the H&S "race tuner" is very expensive now and rare.

Yeah I'm thinking about it. Whats the difference between the mini maxx and the XRT pro? The XRT pro seems to be alittle cheaper.

Mini Maxx has gauges and can be mounted, the XRT Pro is just a handheld tuner.
Thats what you have correct? And so you just plug it in and install your tune and unplug once its done? My buddy has the Mini Maxx for his duramax.

Yeah but there are hard to find the Livewires that can disable dpf.
