SCT w/ Spartan tunes

Holy crap!!! Finally got the tuner and installed a couple tunes. The Max Economy Tune shifted really weird so I decided not to run it. The truck would shift EXTREMELY hard under normal acceleration and would make the truck jerk really bad. Sooo, I installed the Hybrid Race tune. OMG!!! I didn't expect such a HUGE difference. Shifts are smooth and quick, and the power gains are crazy, Seat of the pants difference is crazy. Can't imagine what it will be like when I get around to getting it studded, new nozzles, and maybe upgrade the turbo, and higher hp tunes.

Truck is WAYYY fun!!! Having a really hard time keeping my foot out of it all the time. Plus I like the fact that the truck only puffs a little black smoke when I first get into it and then it cleans up really well. That was one thing I was worried about.

Yeah, running these until I get around to getting Gearhead's tunes. I want to run Matt's first cause I hear nothing but good things about his tunes and they are know for little to no smoke.

I would try Chris @ TSD for the 6.0L, once you do you will know why. The SPD is amazing.

Eventually I plan on having several tunes from several tuners...Gearhead, Innovative, and TSD. These 3 are the main 3 that I have been hearing LOTS of good things about. Just all depends on the mods I have done when the time for more tunes arrives.

be careful....i have those old spartan archives too and some of the files are corrupt. if you try to load one of the bad ones up, you're f'd

Don't rule out Josh's tuning. Him and Matt @ spartan do a lot of work together. It's my favorite for a 6.0

Ummm, who is Josh? Sorry, but I'm not quite up to speed on everyone's first names yet. No disrespect intended.

But I really want to get alot of different tunes from different tuners so I can see what I really like. Gearhead and Innovative were the first 2 I want to try.

Yeah those old spartan one's were terrible on my truck. They messed up the shifting on every tune I had. I had to put my truck back to stock, erase everything off of my SCT, re-load my Innovative tunes to the SCT, then re-load back to the truck to finally get it back to where it was. The shifting was nothing short of horrible.

your truck won't run and you'll have to get a new factory reflash at the least. not sure if it could screw up anything else but I wouldn't risk it.

I ran the Free Spartan tunes for a few years, until I got my injectors, then went with Eric's. I loved the way the Spartan tunes ran on my truck, I tried a couple of others as well but always went back to the Spartan ones.

Mike is a great tuner, spot on shifting too.... but they didnt make much power. I'd like to try a new file, but with some balls
