Hey guys, asking these questions for dad's truck. Its an 06, gone on the full diet, head studs, Powermax Stage 1 turbo, ect. He has the x3 and we can't get it to update via the SCT updater. Not sure if it just hasn't been updated in a long, long time, but it'd be nice to see if its got the latest in it. Are there any tricks to get it to update?

Also, he has custom tunes from DJ, **********, Tryant, and could be others, and all but the Tyrant have cooler/cold weather shifting issues and a runaway throttle at times. I haven't been able to get ahold of Cale to see if he can modify anything but who else out there is good with 6.0 tuning on the older SCT platform and has known working tunes that work in subzero weather?

Lastly, how much of a role does the strategy in the ECM play with tuning? His strategy is VXCF7H3 / TQCK0HA. If that is a bad one and he could benefit from one of the older ones, which one and who does he send it off too?

Thanks in advance.

i would get gear head tunes and see how he likes those. they work fine in our six ohs and we are in canada. i believe that if you are running custom tunes, the software level in the tuner doesnt necessarily matter as it is simply the tool used to upload the tune.

That is good to hear, I live in Canada as well, and can get quite cold up here. Don't know if anyone has ran I******* tunes in cold weather.
