My truck originally had the TTB D50 with a single joint drive shaft. I finally got tired of not being able to go over 20 mph in 4 high with out it vibrating like crazy.

I considered finding a obs F350 drive shaft but they are pretty rare and utilize the smaller 1330 U-joint. SD drive shafts utilize the larger 1350 U-joints. I picked up a Sd drive shaft for $100 off Craig's list.

Some one suggested I call Jesse at http://highangledriveline.com/f-350.html. He makes a conversion flange that bolts up to the 4407 BW T case. I also got a forged 1350 pinion yoke for my D60 from him.

The only thing I had to do was get the SD drive shaft shortened 1" and re balanced.

I paid about 300 for both the flang and yoke. I believe the flange was $140 ish. I didn't have to get the pinion yoke forged either. I just like over doing stuff some times.

*** Also a side note for anyone considering this *** when looking for a super duty drive shaft make sure the CV joint Is spicer. Apparently the 99-00 trucks didn't have a spicer CV and it won't work with this flange. The later SD have the spicer CV joint.

I did the same thing with the conversion flange and 1350 forged yoke but the register hits the front output shaft nut. I know 03 and up have the hole in the middle to clear it. Might take a 1 1/2 holesaw to the middle to get it to fit on the cv flange. I spit my stock driveline out after hammering it through a rock pit in 4low and 37s lol

Ya that's what happened to me. I bought the early drive shaft and realized immediately it wasn't gonna fit. A quick look on Craig's list and I found the later model drive shaft.

I also proly broke my stock 250 shaft 3-4 times off roading or pulling some one out. I never did a 4hi boost launch with it. I was too scared of taking out my bts with it.

I think I can get a newer flange off the inter webs with the hole in it to fit. Yeah I was surprised how easily it broke. Curious to see how it holds up for you.

I guess I got lucky with mine. Both the 95 and SD shaft were 1350 joints so it was a direct bolt up to the axle. The flange wasn't a issue because the shaft came with the NP271 transfercase.
