I cant recall for sure but dont the SD and OBS turbos sit at slightly different heights?

I want to start building another turbo kit for my wifes Excursion, however I want to use a short scroll T-4 type turbo so I can clock it to the factory down pipe.

I dont have a Superduty turbo anymore to get the downpipe mocked up, but I do know where there is an OBS turbo and pedistal I can use...

Is it close enough not to matter?

Obs and e99 turbos sure the same height out of the valley but I beleive you are right about the 99.5-03 being a difftent height

I know the pedestals are definetly diffrent heights

The pedistal on the SD is taller isnt it? I have both at the shop, I can tell you for certain tomorrow.
If the SD turbo itself is shorter than the OBS turbo it might even out.

Thats kind of what I am thinking... The OBS turbo body is thicker, but the pedistal is shorter...

Just cant recall.

E99 next to a SD.. I think its a little of both turbo and pedestal,,, look where the intake hose goes.. the E99 has no space between the flange and the horn at the top like the SD does

but the exhaust side seems to be the same without the pedestal..
