I am doing a 4x4 conversion and wanting to use SD springs for the 4x4 with rear shackles. I can't really use any of the kits because I am starting with the 2wd frame that isn't boxed.

Anyway, I need to figure out how to position the axle correctly. It should have a tab in it correct? What's the best way to figure the exact position of the front spring mount? I was planning on drilling the frame and using stock SD hardware for the shackle.

How much longer is the spring than the OBS spring?

do an rsk, that way then you have a front spring shackle mount.

It's a 2wd truck, so the frame is different. I think that's exactly what I'm doing but I'll fab it up myself.

Yeah the frame is different but using an rsk it will give you the front spring mount.......You wont be the first 2wd truck to do this.

Any update on this? I ask because Im thinking about doing the same thing. To do an RSK do you need to box the 2wd frame first? I've searched quite a bit and cant find any pictures of someone actually converting an OBS to 4wd. Does anyone have any pictures?
