With:
Parking brake on.
Gearshift in park or neutral.
Ignition off.
All doors closed.
Driver's seat belt unbuckled.
Parking/Headlights off.

1)Turn ignition to run/on position. Do not start.
2)Wait for seat belt warning light to go out. About 1 minute.
*Step 3 must be completed within 60 seconds of the seat belt warning light going out.
3)Buckle and unbuckle the seatbelt 9 times, ending with the belt unbuckled.
*When step 3 is complete the belt warning light will be turned on for 3 seconds.
*Step 4 must be completed within 10 seconds of the end of step three or it will exit the programming mode and not change the enable status.
4)Within 10 seconds of the light turning on after step 3, buckle then unbuckle the belt.
*This will disable the BeltMinder feature if it is currently enabled. As confirmation, the belt warning light will flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds.
*This will enable the BeltMinder feature if it is currently disabled. As confirmation, the belt warning light will flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds, followed by 3 seconds with the light off, then followed by the belt warning light flashing 4 times per second for 3 seconds again.
5)After receiving confirmation, the procedure is complete.

Unplug the wires going to the clicker. You can have it unplugged quicker than you can start your truck.

This is the first thing I do in every new truck I get. I was proud of myself when I was successful with the procedure the first time on my latest truck. The first time I read it in the owners manual I thought to myself you have got to be kidding.

It's what happens when thousands of these trucks are used as farm trucks. It's a great option.
