Shock mount reversal

Has anyone flipped the shock mounts around on the diff so they are on the top of the axle tube oppress to the bottom? I currently have a set of bilstein 5100's that are only about a year old. They are pretty much fully extended at ride height presently with a 5-1/2 block. I just got my 7-1/2" traction blocks so I will either need to purchase longer shocks or flip the lower shock mount. What is everyone else using for rear shocks with 8" lift? Looks like it will be about 34-1/2" at ride height eye to eye with the current mount configuration.

You can flip them or make new ones . Either way it will save you $ .

Thanks, after searching online and reading several lift install instructions from various manufacturers this is common part of install.
