Should I get a custom tune

Im new to the diesel world. It seemed unanimous that I should get rid of my chip and go with a SCT tuner. I recently got and X3 and installed the performance tune. I have to say everyone was right, huge gain. Now Im wandering should i get a custom tune. I have a 4" turbo back exhaust, studded/deleted, CAI, and an atlas 80 ficm tune.

You will definitely gain power going to a custom tune. Cant go wrong with any of the vendors.

But yes, mo powa. You can tell a tuner what driving style to write the tune(s) for.

on a 7.3 the TS chip is better because i have access to a bunch more parameters for my custom tunes compared to SCT.

If you're running the standard SCT tunes, you'll be very happy with a custom tune. You get further away from the "one size fits all" programming and can get something modified exactly how you want it.

you would see a night and day difference on a custom tune vs a canned sct tune.
