So I've gotten a little bored with my regular single side exit exhaust... I just cant hear it enough so I'm thinking about doing a single stack. I searched though all the threads and found a million different makers/types/lengths and all kinds of stuff.

For those of you who have a single stack, what is it, how does it sound vs the side exit and please post a pic. Anyone else with knowledge on the topic please chime and and help me make the best decision I can. Thanks.

True story.

I did have a stack on my truck. I no longer do. It got old pretty fast. I love the look of a single stack, but I would never put another on my truck unless I had a muffler on the exhaust. That's just me though. Also, my truck is white so it was a pain in the ass to keep clean with a stack. Especially after it would rain.

My only hesitation at all is due to where I live currently (Virginia Beach) the cops around here are pretty strict. Since traffic is pretty insane down here I frequently have to lay into it in order to merge with traffic and sometime is puts out a little smoke... I don't want the police all over me for that... Its much less obvious with the side exhaust rather than putting that straight up above me. haha. I am super happy that these newer tunes are cleaner than some of the older ones. At least from what I can tell.

Same here mink. 7" miter flush with the cab and to the right of center. Think people would steal a custom stack cap if i put my name on it? More along the lines of diesel events

I'm younger than you. :poke:

It just got old after awhile. The biggest downfall for me was having a white truck. If you like cleaning your cab off all the time or if you have a dark colored truck, go for it.

Yep. That's the main reasons I took mine off.

if i ever did it again i would have a valve that could dump out before the elbow under the truck so that at night and startup it could start out the bottom and not the stack. keep the rainy soot off the truck and when i tow it could dump out the bottom.
