So I hit a deer....mod time

O well just gives me a reason to finally do some paint work. Ill be pulling all the parts in the next couple weeks while my truck is down getting the trans built.

Plans are:

-painted black front bumper
-painted black roll pan
-black "harley" style headlights
-painted black grill inserts
-painted black side emblems
-painted black ford emblems
-grey passenger fender flare
-painted black cowl panel
-7"single chrome stack
My question is will I be able to pull off the black bumpers or am I way out of line and should leave them grey?? Opinions are great.

Paint the rims, the stack, the windows, the headlights, taillights, EVERYTHING black. No need to short change yourself with a few things here and there. Lets just do the whole truck and worry about the rest later

2" 22x10 with 305/45 nitto 420s - 1.5" spacers

Paint the rims, the stack, the windows, the headlights, taillights, EVERYTHING black. No need to short change yourself with a few things here and there. Lets just do the whole truck and worry about the rest later

My main concern is the black roll pan against the grey.

I like the.grey.because it.still.allows.the.truck.to look sinister but.different than everyones.all black.trucks. All black.would.look.good but it'll just look like everyone who.is.all.blacked out. Seeing your.truck.made me want to paint my bumpers grey and put.grey flares.on it.

I think if you put the roll pan on, and play around with some tape to get the right lines it can be done right. But I wouldn't just paint it black and slap it on.

My 02 was all black - I loved it but I do know what you mean.

lol - nah it wasnt really a big deal but beat up enough to motivate me, ill be doing all the work myself besides pulling the headlights apart.

Yeah I think if I do all the stucf I want to black but then still leave the grey bumpers I may get the look I want "clean"...we will see

i say leave all the bumpers alone unless you wanna paint the truck.. i don thnink the rollpan will look right. but headlights black and the reflector painted grey.. and black grille inserts.. JMO

I think it would look very clean if you keep them grey Josh. I didn't even realize on pictures on here you had the grey, until I saw it in person. There are tons of all black trucks, that grey sets it apart to me. I thought it looked killer.

Keep the rear bumper and keep the gray. Truck looks awesome the way it is IMO. I don't think the rollpan would look right.

I'd leave it the way she sits get harley heads and some black badges. Chrome stack wouldn't look too bad either I don't think with the wheels chrome.
