so my bro recently ran my truck at the strip with basics done to my truck
PO said the injectors and headstud were done, i added a new rad, intercooler, intake elbow, intake feeds from the side of the grill, and a sct programmer, ran a best time of 15.1 (idk if he got the time to install the batmowheel yet)

anyways other then getting a turbo adn injectors and doing fuel mods i think the only way to get the truck a littel fast is tractions bars and snow proformance and a spray kit. how much could the stock tranny hold saftey for pass down the strip???

stock trans "should" (every truck/driver is going to be different) hold MUCH faster at the track than a 15.1

What do you have for tunes? and what is the cab/body configuration?

Did you get a 60' time or a trap speed along with the 15.1 pass?

My crew cab long bed on 35's with Innovatives Xtreme race runs 14.6x@91mph with a 1.9x 60' and from what I have seen this is on the slower end of the spectrum for 6.0's

Lots of trucks run in the 13's stock with just a tune, and easily into the 12's on the juice without any fuel or air mods.

yeah my bro got a 60 trap of 2.2 (only sheet iv seen but it was a 15.0792 1/4 so i assume it was his fast run)
body is a crewcab short bed, running 315/55/17 (i belive 55 may be 50's)

again im in germany while hes got my truck back home in texas. just found out hes doesnt have the turbo wheel in yet, and im working on gettign a go go intake off a guy back home right now. just trying to get this truck to 14.5 then want to throw some spray at it so i can beat up all my bros friends and there little imports

Custom tuning should have that truck in the 13.8-14.2 range... with nothing else done really (maybe some headstuds to hold the gaskets together).

Sounds like he wasn't doing a boosted launch with that 60'. I cut a 1.85 on 34" super swampers with nothing but tuning, and it wasn't even the race tune, it was just x-street. Ran a 14.25 like that with a passenger and a toolbox full of tools in a super cab short bed.

I'm guessing maybe you got the SCT running their canned "performance" tune, get some custom tunes from Innovative, Gearhead, Quick Tricks, or PHP and you should easily be into the 13's with that truck and mods, then could spray into the 12's. Might have trouble with head gaskets and fuel pressure, but trans will hold (especially with the custom tunes) and everything else should be good.

Was that launching in 2wd maybe? Gotta get at least into the 1.9s on the 60', some guys are flirting with 1.6's on setup trucks and a good 60' sets up for a good ET at the end of it.

Get the truck into 4wd and bring it up to 2k rpm or 10lbs of boost whichever you prefer and then hold on. After that and dialed in a bit you can fiddle with launching harder and harder, maybe mess with some tire pressure and get it too hook good and hard out of the hole to cut that 60' time down and I guarantee the ET will go down on the big end.

what was the mph? that is the way to tell how much power the truck is making. 2.2 is not a good 60' time. 1.8x are easily acheivable with a 4wd with stock suspension. my bolt-on time is in my sig.

also what year truck is it, what cab and bed configuration, 2wd or 4wd?
