The ensolite/dynaliner like products are there to cut down air born noises (wind, tire, exhaust. sirens, etc.) by making a barrier for the sounds to pass through. While the dampener is there to cut down structural noises (speaker vibrations, drivetrain vibrations, rain drops, etc) by adding mass to the metal to reduce its reonant frequency. So the 2 are meant to work in unison to conquer all the noises from the vehicles and speakers motion to the outside noises. [/QUOTE]
