About a month ago I had my injector cups replaced (had diesel in the coolant) and ever since then I can hear a miss while idling and driving...its the most pronounced out of the tailpipe.
I just had time to read the codes and came up with these:
P1690 - Wastegate solonoid ckt
P1670 - Electric feedback not detected
P0475 - Exhaust pressure ctrl valve
P1212 - ICP low
P0640 - Intake heater ckt
P0683 - GPCM to PCM ckt
P1280 - IPC ckt low
P0472 - Exhaust pressure ckt low input
P0198 - Engine oil temp ckt high input
P1119 - Manifold air temp high input
I have since driven it around for a day and it hasn't thrown any codes, so I'm wondering if they just happened during the cup R&R from connectors and such being unplugged. But the miss I can't figure out. This weekend I'm planning to do the 50 cent mod just in case its the UVH.
Sorry so long winded, any thoughts?

If you pull the valve covers take a look with the truck running as well to see how the oil output is from each injector. I would also clear the codes and check again after running. Some of those codes are serious.

Just a noise. It still has plenty of power, and no *extra* vibration from the engine. I think they didn't clear the codes because it was closing time and they wanted to get the truck out of there.

Tom, how do I check the oil output for the injectors?
Thanks

If you run the motor with the valve covers off, you can watch the oil spouts on the injectors and see how the oil is coming out of the spout. It's the little silvery cast piece below the upper hold down bolts. Look for any not putting out oil, or way too much oil.

Or an electrical problem. If the truck is dropping a cylinder it should feel doggy but some guys do not seem to really detect the miss that much.

if there is not a CEL/SES light illuminted...then it's not electrical/wiring...

the miss is probably a result of coolant getting into the fuel side of the injector and scoring the plunger & barrel assembly...

Yeah I never got any CEL, and the codes I previously posted havent returned. So would coolant getting into the fuel side ruin an injector and would a bad injector throw codes or just cause a miss?

yes, getting water (or gas, or debris) into an injector will cause damage from a lack of lubrication....and a bad injector won't throw codes, but it will cause a misfire.

You might get a cylinder balance fault if you had a CCT performed on the truck...but without diagnostic tests...a bad inj won't just spit out a code.
