Okay I have a 2013 f250 with 24,000 miles and extended warranty to 75000. Local dealer that I bought it from has started to lift trucks and put aftermarket wheels and tires on them. The truck I had before a 05 dodge I had around 850hp with twin turbos pumps injectors and so forth. We'll I decided it was time to grow up and go away from that so I bought a new truck and extended warranty. But I still can't get away from the look of a lifted truck with wheels and tires. Wheels are not the problem but the lift/level is. If I have the dealership do it all the truck will still be covered under warranty. If I do it my self and something happens to suspension I could be left paying for parts myself. So my question is which way would you guys go. They quoted me 600 dollars to put front spacers in and then 1100 to do a leveling kit of 2 1/2" in the front and 1" in the back. So do I save the money and just put spacers in or do the whole leveling kit.

$20 will get you a 1.5,2.0,or 2.5" aluminum coil spacer on eBay. Add your shocks of choice. 1.5 you can still run the factory shocks if your just looking to get the nose up a little.

If your looking to make it ride a lot better. Going to factory 4800lb front coils and a 2.5" spacer will lift the front about 1.5" and ride drastically better. This is what I currently did with the stock shocks and it rides great on the horrible New England roads.

I'm running 2.5 spacers up front and a 5" rear block, Bilsteins all around.Truck rides great in my opinion for a one ton.

Any alignment and or trac bar issues just running the spacers? My new pickup has the f350 srw heavy suspension option and sits super high in the rear. Could use several inches in the front.

The problem is with buying stuff off eBay and installing it my self is I will void the warranty. I already have problems with the death wobble on it and waiting for the dealership to find a fix for that on their dime.

Unless the installation of the kit actually affects something they can't void your entire warranty for it. Especially if they are still honoring warranties on the vehicles they are lifting themselves. I personally trust my mechanical abilities over that of local ford dealers.

ya, there is not much about a simple spacer that can void the warranty. If they are saying it will, they are basically just trying to push you into spending money with them. Ford doesn't care if they did it or you did it. A modification is a modification. Your basically just paying them money to turn there head and not care at that point. And another dealer may or may not do the same. I have never had a warranty issue over simple suspension mods. Its not like a ten inch lift that replaces everything.

I could certin see them saying that putting the leveling kit caused death wobble. In reality the dealership has the final say if it's warranty or not. You can argue all you want with them but if they don't want to cover it they don't have to. I guess I will test the water with them and ask them first.

Like someone said, find a new dealer, because the one you're going through now is a greedy lying pos...
