I have a Srw 350 CCSb and i was wondering how hard it would be to change to DRW i'm wondering because i have these 325/65/18 and i'd like to do my hauling with duals if its not too hard of a switch... is there anyway i can have them be switchable? Could i get some 19.5's and just run adaptors with a fender flare? Figured a mega cab fendr flare slightly modified and get some bushwackers for when i'm runnin SRw? Just would like to know if it's possible without swapping axles and the like....

I've owned several dually trucks, a srw setup properly tows just as good IMO. With my truck the weigh it is now, I've never wished I had a dually just for towing purposes.

Now I have thought about converting mine to a dually, but simply for the look of it.

Well it tows just fine but when i'm hauling EXPENSIVE thouroughbred racehorses with my truck and i was just wandering if i could pick up a set of dually wheels 8 lug 17's , 19.5's or 22.5's to haul on for peace of mind. Esp since the 19.5s and 22.5s would need an adaptor itmight work.

not sure on yours but with mine it's just a spacer on the front that bolts to the unit bearing assembly. the rear is a different hub that is spaced out further. i wouldn't say that it would be a "easy" change when you want switch. i'd say pick one or the other and stick with it.

Figured i'd look into it even with adaptors in the rear still wouldn't be a good idea? I'm going to find more spare rims and tires for mine just in case. I'm pretty confident in my truck and driving capabilities just reassurance if i emd up with the 9 horse slant behind 'er if the 2010 cummims decides to give up on life.

Kind of the same thing but.......a friend of mine put the dually adapters on his pulling truck for more traction. Since the SRW axle is shorter, the wheels stuck out ALOT! With the appropriate dually axle the wheels will be more under the bed and fenders. I don't think just using the adapters on the rear would be legal since the outer tires will be all out in the open with no fenders covering them. If you has a removable fender it might work. I've been running the Nitto Dura Grapplers for a few years now, towing heavy a few times a month. Tires are gonna have to be replaced this year but they did me good. Adjust pressures according to load and they will last a while. Just myy 2 cents!

If you go with the mega cab flares, most of the tire is inside the flare. A guy around here has it that way on his short bed pulling truck.

When i say offset maybe run a spacer out back on my single wheels (i don't haul for like 4 months at a time except a small 4 horse with a horse or two in it.) And be able to put duals on when we are shipping from fla. To pa. And back. We make at least 6 trips apiece. And i could run mega cab fenders with duals on and buswhackers when running singles.....
