Been having a starting issue, it had been taking me a few cycles of the key to finally get the truck to start. Pulled both batteries and checked them seperately they were fine.
I have had this same problem in the past and was able to resolve it with new starters. But this is the 3rd one in 18 months that I have put on.
2 were remans, and this one is brand new. Do I just have really chit luck or is there possibly a seperate issue I may be missing.
Mostly stock 2000 SCrew 7.3L 240,000 miles.

Check the positive battery cable. The one running from one batter to the other and then to the relay. Also check the one running from the relay to the starter.

I was having an issue and the cables looked fine. Peeled back the insulation and things did not look so fine.

You can get one from O'Reilly's for about 75 bucks. It is larger than the stock cable, premade, and fit perfect.

It is not in the computer, they have to actually go to the old fashioned books.

Oh ok I understand what you mean now. I have been considering a battery relocate and redoing all the cables. This may be the time to go ahead take care of them.
