stc question

Well my turbo blew, so I figured while it was off the I would replace the stc fitting, well the hpop cover had more silicone on it them my local auto parts store carries, well I got the cover off and the stc in the truck looks like the new one I bought so my question is how do u tell an old stc to the new stc. What's the diffrence between the old style an new style.thanks

I can't really answer your question about the difference but i remember when doing mine they looked about the same but the hole in the tube looked bigger on the upgraded one. I would go ahead and swap it since you got it out already.

You would be able to tell a noticeable difference. If it is identical to the old one your good to go. The stc fittings have a large center in between where it screws to the hpop and mounts to the branch tubes. That's if your replacing it with the solid tube, not another stc fitting.
