Does anyone have the part number for the steel gaskets where the up pipe bolts to the collector? The SD gaskets are too big and the guy at my local IH dealer was slightly less than helpful without a part number to go by.

Dave/Masami has posted up the overall part number for that kit as a whole in the past if that would help.

Yeah I tried that and the parts guy couldn't find individual parts in the kit. And no way am I ordering the disgustingly overpriced kit!

Well my next suggest is to try one of the places that stocks them and see if there is a number stamped on them when new like there is on the manifold gaskets.

That's the problem no one around here stocks them. Found a dealer in MI that has one, they refused to open the box (wtf it's just tape :bs:) My dealer won't order one since I'm not going to buy it. Really I've never run into so many unhelpful ignorant parts guys in my life they really do not care at all. :cursing:

Plan B: I don't have much to to this afternoon at work and I found some annealed 316L stainless sheet laying around, measures real close to the SD gasket thickness. Think I'll take my collector with me after lunch and see about cutting out my own gaskets.

I was thinking more like Strictly Diesel or Riff Raff.
