Anyone experienced a IPR sticking? My truck has been stalling when first put into drive on cold mornings (which is all of them here), it's been reluctant to rev up at times, and at the stoplight (there is only one) it idles low at times. I haven't checked codes or anything yet, just thinking the IPR could be at fault. Truck is an 01 with an automatic if that helps. Mostly stock, big intake, straight pipes and a 6 pos chip with supporting mods. Any thoughts or advice?

nope. Haven't checked for codes in memory yet either. I should try that tomorrow if I get time.

with a scan tool (not a code reader), you should be able to monitor ICP pressure & IPR% to see if it is ICP/IPR related...

it could just as easily be a problem with low line pressure inside the trans not keeping the torque converter unlocked. does it feel like it draws itself down and stalls (like forgetting to push in the clutch on a manual trans?)

That's exactly what it's like and that's also crossed my mind. The transmission is about 18 months old with less than 6000 miles on it. It's a BTS that was set up for a chip. I tried it again today in the chips hot setting rather than the daily driver and it didn't do it. What should I have for line pressure when I'm idling in gear. I might make up a gauge tonight at work to check it out. What size fitting goes in there, 1/8 NPT?

should be ~90psi or so at idle in Park or Neutral

Not trying to hi-jack, but could this be a tuning related issue, or strictly a VB or pump issue?

Reason i ask is cause my truck seems to do this every now and then when its cold.

Not sure if it's tuning related. Could be. It usually only happens in my daily driver tune, which I run 95% of the time. It did it in my hot tune today, but it was almost -40 so I won't count that one. Usually my hot tune doesn't do it. I made up a gauge to test trans pressure to rule it out, but I may not get at it for a bit.
