I'm putting down close to 600hp and trans doesnt skip a beat and shifts are firm and the tc lock up feels great too, temps rarely go over 170 even on a hot day. My question is how much hp can I get out of a stock one and how much is a good kit to upgrade my trans. I wanna do it my self and save some money

Depends on how hard you are on it. Eventually the stock clutches will burn up and you'll have solenoids sticking. Raybestos clutches and a good converter would be a good choice once you start to see slipping on your stocker.

It been pretty beat on for the past year. Sled pulls, dynos, drag racing, boost launches, racing the occasional dodge or Corvette, wot run with 7tons in a dump trailer lol I'm actually quite proud of it. But I was just wondering when the breaking point would be. All this in 33k miles

My stock trans went at 540hp after 2 years of hammering it. Nothing broke, just smoked the clutches, which in turn trashed solenoids. It sounds like your probably not too far from needing a trans.

thats what i would do, just make sure to have the extra cash for a replacement.
