I have 110,000 mild on my truck stock bolts, oil cooler, and egr cooler. This truck has been used hard, pulled for over 50,000 miles, most of them on the floor. No sign of heads going. Anyone every try to run injectors with stock bolts? If so any luck?

To do injectors you don't have to do much, have to pull the motor or cab for studes.
Why fix what is not broke? I'm just wondering what luck people have had. If I can make it to 200,000 on stock bolts with injector why not, will save me money, and as long as I don't over heat the motor it won't hurt it when the bolts go bad, or it didn't on my 04, drove 10,000 miles on it.

At the very least replace the bolts with studs one at a time. If you have coin to drop on injectors then why be cheap and not do studs? you will regret it if you dont.

Lol they were broke stock! Kidding.... but if you are looking at 155s I would say you could try it. Worst case scenario you gotta go back and do studs. And you can do it cab on if you please.

I was wrong then, cool.
Will it hurt anything if the bolts go? I know it didn't on my 2004. It's not the money, I just want to see if I can push the stick bolts to that point. Only going to be about 350-400hp, I'll only run a tow tune.

That and I was stuiped and bought a powermax being told it would drop my egts and spool like stock on s tow tune. My stock turbo went out. It's the same price to go injectors vs a new stocker.

You'll just blow the head gaskets if the bolts go. I did it on my 04 with stock sticks and stock turbo but that was running it hard. If you're not running the guts out of it I can't see why they wouldn't last.

You haven't blown the gaskets cuz the heads are prolly welded to the block...LOL

Don't hear of too many towing with that many miles, and still holding....better hang onto that one.

The only real risk I see is being loaded running up a pass far from home and the truck over heats.... but be smart and you can figure it out, you can avoid getting stranded. Once the gaskets go (if they do) make sure you get the heads decked and use FORD FACTORY gaskets.

I never really thought about the gasket going, just the bolts like my 04, you'll are right, not woth the risk for now. Thanks.
A lot of people say the stage 1 intake manifold helps spool up, would I be hurting anything if I can a powermax, stage 1 intake and a 65 tow tune?

Might want to consider a batmowheel for your pmax. I dont tow much, but with my pmax and batmowheel without a tune it does feel pretty much like a stock turbo.
