Im doing studs it my truck soon and I really want to do 190s wile I hav it all apart. I just don't have the money right now to do turbo and fuel system. I was going to see if erice could write me a tune to keep it on the save side. Has anyone ran this set up? Is it just better to do the studs and wait to I have all the money to do everything at ones?

I guess Eric would be the one to ask if he could "de-fuel" them enough to run with stock turbo. This job doesn't require cab off. It is easily done cab on by just a novice mechanic. I would suggest an aftermarket lift pump, and intercooler with it. The 190's can add a lot of fuel, and can get the EGT's up there really quick even with an aftermarket intercooler and a good turbo. With a stock turbo, I would imagine he will have to really turn the fuel way down on them to even drive it. Just my guess at it. I run 190's on mine, but that is with a 64/71/70 and Banks intercooler. It will still bury the 1600 degree Pyro in about 5 seconds to the floor.

i ran 190's with stock turbo and fuel for a while with no issues. Just can't do many WOT runs. I would at least do the fuel pressure spring tho.

I run stock turbo with 190/30's but have a AirDog2. Eric wrote me a good race tune that I DD and I use Mike's tow tune and my EGT's arent too bad. But like someone said, at WOT she can get warm pretty quick.

Stock trans took several 13.1 passes, 12.8 and 12.2, 544, 580, and 723 on the dyno. Still kicking strong...knock on wood.

It might have been built on a Thursday :)

my buddy is running 205's and a stocker..you'll be fine
These are some guys that have had good luck doing what you're asking. Every truck is different. I haven't had the luck they have. Given my experience with my truck on stock sticks, I'd never try 190s on a stock fuel pump or delivery system. With my RR, I can still drop my fuel pressure under 40 psi once and awhile on the stock HCFM. Typically on a WOT run it drops from it's 60 psi set point to ~45 psi. Before the RR, dropping to 35 psi or lower was all too easy. Too low for my comfort. I may just have a weak pump, so take it for what it's worth. But like I said, every truck is different.

i ran my truck on 190's, stock turbo, stock trans, stock head bolts, and a stock fuel system for 8k miles with no issues.

Still going strong with the stock turbo, everything else has since changed.

If you did the upgraded pressure spring and some 6.4 or drilled banjos with the right tuning you'd be fine. Upping to an airdog while your at it will only help

Update. Picked it up from Rudy's today. First thing's first. Throttle response is crazy. Barely touch the pedal and see ya. Definitely caught me by suprise. I'm running Matt's Srl+ full fuel. Doesn't smoke at all with normal driving habits (i was really suprised). But if you get on it at all it does give off a light haze. I'd say 1/2 to 3/4 throttle down low and it smokes like a wildfire. Accidentally smoked out 2 cars behind me thanks to a senior citizen that tested my patience with his sunday driving habits. For the record, i hope i don't do that again. Looked back and the cars looked like they were in a terminator 2 movie coming through the smoke. I'm really impressed with the upgrades and i hope my transmission holds up. Warren injectors are the shiznit!!!!
