Street tires for 18" wheels

I am looking for a tire to use at the track for my 18" factory wheels. My truck has 3.73 gears, so I don't want anything too short. I may regear eventually to 3.55's, but it's not a big concern since my 20's have 34" AT's on them.

The tallest tire they make for an 18" wheel is 27" and it has a weight rating of 1700 lb per tire. I was wanting something in the 30-32" range with at least a 2700-2800 lb rating.

I have a set of Proxes for 20" wheels, but I have a set of 18" wheels laying around that I could put to good use and I'd never have to swap tires.

18s are tricky - I havnt seen a good tire in the size you want.

I found a Proxes ST2 that measures 31", but I am not sure on the weight rating of the tire. It's a 285/60/18, but it's not an XL tire....so that kinda concerns me.

Hankook Ventus AS comes in a 285/65/18 XL that is weight rated at 3,086 lbs and measures 31.5" tall. I am guessing that would probably come out to about 30.5-31" tall mounted on the wheel.

Anyone have any experience with these tires?

Think that would be safe to run at the track? My truck will be around 7700 lbs race weight this year.

My truck has never had a trailer behind it and it has 125,000 miles on it. I don't see that starting when it has street tires on it. LOL
