Subed. Been wanting to know the same thing. I've looked at my buddies 5inch mbrp exhaust and the only thing isee different is the bend by the trans cross member.

As stated over on the nation, it could work but you will need to weld your own hangers on to the exhaust or buy clamps with hangers to line up with the obs exhaust mounts

Hangers ain't a big deal with me. I just wonder if it would be long enough and clear crossmembers and such?

I used the back-half off a buddies SD for mine, and just ran 4" from the DP back to where his exhaust started.

It was cheap, but IDK if i'd mess with it again.

i just happen to have a SD rear pipe on mine.....you have to cut the spare carrier off, as it interfers, but it worked .....it's from just in front of the axle, up over and out the side behind the rear wheel...... I didn't see any reason to let a perfectly good 4" mandrel bent pipe go to waste :D

Use an OBS downpipe with a 4" outlet (or 3" to 4" bell reducer). Length of the system is adjusted just by changing length of 4" straight sections (one end belled) of pipe between downpipe and muffler and muffler to tailpipe. Use a Dynomax/Walker 55102 4" Superduty tailpipe. Make your own hangers in the same style as the factory hangers out of 3/8" steel rod welded to 4" tailpipe clamps using the factory frame mounts/rubbers for adjustability and use NAPA Easi-seal stainless exhaust band clamps.

Kinda what I had in mind. I can pick up a duper suty exhaust for around $100 bucks so that is why I was curious.

Dynomax 55102 tailpipe is less than $50 at Summit Racing and fits OBS without mod with spare in place. Get OBS downpipe, generally around $120 or so, couple straight sections of the one end belled 4" exhaust pipe from NAPA or big truck store and I like the Donaldson 36" long 4" M085171 muffler. NAPA Easi-Seal stainless band clamps about $10 each, 4" 7335976, 3.5" is 7335977. 4" regular exhaust clamps for hangers are cheap and and so is 3/8" steel rod from hardware store.

Not worth fooling around with stock SD exhaust, SD mufflers are very restrictive and turbo outlet end has to be changed. Still would have to make up hangers, too.
