Having 2 issues...surging and high idle
The high idle issue I am having has been happening for a while. When the truck is fully warm/been driving for a while and put the truck into park, the idle will jump to around 720rpm. The chip is programmed to 650. I tried different chip/tuners and it does it with all of them. The idle will come down after a minute. Never tried it with no chip.
The other issue just started to happen...surging. When I'm pulling a hill or accelerating onto the highway and under light throttle, truck feels like a surge. Motor has full power. The rpms don't jump nor the does the boost fluctuate. I just checked my records and I have over 15k on the fuel filters (Wix 33912 & 33911); 30 micron pre-filter and 5 micron post-filter. I also recently had to change to change fan clutch, which I replaced with a Hayden one. I don't hear the fan coming. The 6.0 fan is not as loud as the 7.3 one. Is it possible that the fan clutch is coming on? I know that I need to change the filters as I didn't know I had that many miles on them.
