So I am taking my 09 in to the dealer to get the door codes redone and the truck refobed. I would like for them to go over the truck and see if theres anything I should look in to. It has 91k miles on it and the warranty doesnt expire till August 2014. I have no issues with the truck at all, should I even waste my time having the dealer look it over? Im tuning it and deleting it next week.

Tell them you hear valvetrain noise every so often. You might as well get a fresh set of rockers out of the deal.

I guarantee You they are worn.

Well they told me it will be free if they find something wrong OR if they dont find anything, but if they find an issue with something else I have to pay a 200 dollar diagnosis fee. Not sure if its worth it after my experience with Ford back in my 6.0 days. What do yall think?

Correct. Since the warranty is only on the motor. Valve train is sounding pretty promising.

I had a bed plate seal star leaking right around my warranty expiring and should have taken it in. But I would have had to put all the stock parts back on. Make sure it's not leaking

:whs:

My bed plate was leaking dealer said it will be cover under warranty cab off job. Truck was stock at this time. I asked if they would install my head studs, push rods and springs. Saved me labor cost to have them do it, cab was already off. Luckily I had the dealer do this because when the heads were pulled they found #7 & 8 cylinder piston walls had bad scoring caused by the Regen cycles. Ford replaced the sort block under warranty @ 87,000. If you plan to keep your truck for long time a egr & cooler delete is a must for longevity. Hard part is to keep your foot out it.
