Hey all, ive threatended a build in the past, and have inquired many times, but this time it has to be done.

Couple of questions however. I have a dual alternator setup, and cannot seem to find the tension pulley for the top alternator. I ended up just taking the bolts off, and letting it fall off. But this wont fly on reinstall. How the heck am i supposed to get that damned belt off, or back on?

I can search this, but where are the bolts to remove the turbo? Took a quick gander, didnt find what i thought to be the correct bolts. Also, what size are they. Once again, i can search this question, no big deal.

My findings so far... Oil in the intake manifold, a cracked degas bottle and a bit of play in the turbo. Not worried about the turbo, i think its still in pretty good shape, even though i plan on replacing. I am considering a 205/100 and non vgt build.

Thanks in advance.

You can roll altn back on with belt need be.
Turbo 3-10mm
Oil in manifold is from that ugly egr valve looking at ya!
Is that a gay smoke switch wired up???

Good to know about the alternator. Thanks.

Turbo... Two on the side, one in the back.

That EGR valve is nasty, not my friend.

Yes it is a gay smoke switch. Alcohol, friends and nothing to do. It is just looped now, not functioning.

Tension pulley for top alternator is behind and lower than the secondary alternator tension pulley, you can reach it from under the truck.

Got the injectors pulled today. I have not looked, but are the oil rails side specific?? Easy enough question to answer when i go to install them.
Injectors seem to look alright as far as o rings go. They are for sale now, as well as the stock turbo.

Also, are there any suggestions to remedy or fix while i am this deep. Besides delete and remote oil cooler?

I am so tempted to throw an aftermarket HPOP in because i want to run 205's, but didnt origianally budget for the pump.

You should upgrade the stc fitting, stand pipes and dummy plugs while your in there. If your pulling the heads now would be a good time to upgrade the valve springs and push rods also.

Forgot about the STC fittings. Thanks. Stand pipes and dummy plugs have less than 10k miles on em, and still look fresh. "Upgrade" push rods and springs. Suggestions?

How hard is the cam to get to, and what other mods are needed to accompany the cam? I cannot find anything on youtube, and my search result are coming up short.

Remove the trans, rear cover, branch tubes and then you can pull the cam. You can replace lifters then as well.
