Think my torque converter is trying to commit suicide

Truck started having a shudder/vibration when it is in OD under 1500 rpm, the lower rpm the worse it gets. It happens when it's at in those rpms and I try to accelerate. Once in a while when the tc locks it will feel like when a transmission is slipping changing gears. The trans doesn't slip when shifting at all. Have a new tc sitting at the house ready to go in next week with motor swap. Just wanting to make sure this is infact the tc and I haven't some how destroyed something in the trans.

Sounds like a TC, need to get it swapped ASAP before it kills the tranny.

They don't just commit suicide, they take tranny's with them.

Ya I'm thinking TC is gone too. Stock TC w/ all that power your pushing Dentex? Not surprised.

Haha. Ill have a rental vehicle later on in the week and will end up driving my gfs truck until then. It actually lasted a long time at this level.

Mine has seen numerous boosted launches, been raced all the time and never babied and it lasted almost a year. I never expected it to last any length of time at all
