Anyone had experience lowering an F250 2 wheel drive OBS? What all is involved? I will be putting a set of 30" tall slicks on the back from DZL JIM. Has anyone used the DJM dream beams on an OBS? I remember a while ago it said that you could not use them on a diesel application. I have not seen that written anymore in my recent search. Just wanting to make sure before we order anything.

What are your thoughts guys?

I just put a DJM 3/4 lowering kit on my dually. It's a good kit. I think you'll like it. My truck uses the same kit as your truck would need. I ordered mine off of Ebay. It included front I-beams and shocks, rear spring hanger, shackles, and shocks. Be sure to order the 6* pinion shim to correct your pinion angle. The only issue I ran into was I can no longer use the front sway bar. If I want to use it I'll have to modify it. So far I haven't had any handling issues without it. The lower center of gravity helps a lot.

Thanks!

I ditched the sway bar a long time ago... It had to be removed so that the intercooler would fit... LOL

What are the chances of taking a look at your kit sometime?

Sure, I'm going to be at the OCR spring dyno day in Dayton next weekend and I'll be at TS. I just looked it up. You're only about an hour away from me. I was actually able to keep my sway bar with my intercooler. I used a 2" block to lower the mounting point and it workd perfect.

Nate,
Have you looked into cutting the coils?
I was going to do that to my drag truck but quit racing before I did.
Looked easy enough, maybe heat and bend the last coil to fit back in the bucket.

The only draw back to that Jim is it throws your front end geometry out of specs. It makes it hard to get your camber back in spec.

If your going to lift a truck....why not just buy a Jeep?

Jeep can't tow 17,000lbs

....or take the wife, 2 kids, 2 dogs, and enough luggage for two weeks across the country...

....and lastly....Jeeps don't get VIP invitations to Ford sponsored Monster Jams...LOL
