Looking for some opinions anyone might have based on real world experience.
My truck shares DD duties with my Jeep, and is used to tow quite a bit at work.
I tow mostly around town, averaging 5000-8000lbs, and often to 12000lbs, and sometimes up to 15-16000lbs.
When I tow on the highway long distance, its usually the 5000-8000lbs range.

Current setup runs clean and cool, stock sticks and an MTW Stage 2.
I am 100% sure I want to stick with 175/30's. Good bump in power for when I want to play a bit, and keep the power/heat levels in check for towing.

I am slightly torn on which turbo.
I am ditching the VGT, and cant decide on the S362SXE, or S364SXE.
I am so tired of the VGT whistle its not even funny.

I am running Yukon 4.30's and a locker, so around town low end power shouldnt be an issue getting the revs up to spool the non VGT.

Love to hear some thoughts ( or see some vids! ).

TIA

Well, I pulled the trigger on an S362SXE, and 175/30s.
Had a sit down with the boss at work, my truck is going to be towing less this year.
Getting another shop truck for me to drive back and forth.
If it stays this way for a year or so, Ill probably go bigger turbo/sticks on next years tax return.

Pumped to get this new setup in when I get back from vacation in a week.

That should be an awesome setup. My buddy runs 175/50's with his 362FMW, and I run stock sticks on my 362FMW. The turbo 100% cleans up all fuel I can give it on stock sticks. 175/30's would be an ideal setup I think.

I'm on 35" tires, stock 3.73 gearing and I tow up to ~7500lbs during the summer and I love this setup. I've noticed that my "lower" power tunes like my tow tune, actually aren't great. There's just not enough fuel there on stock sticks. I tow my camper with my street tune, and it's awesome. Never gets anywhere near hot. (I have a write up kicking around here describing all driving situations and heat levels). I'd imagine a good towing tune matched with the 175's will be excellent.

Also, FWIW, I'd highly recommend FICM tuning. It made a noticeable difference in spool up on my setup. For your larger sticks, you'll need "custom" FICM tuning though, talk to the guys at Power Hungry about it, they'll get you set up.
