The Ford in my signature seems to just be dumpin black smoke like it is its job. I have been hauling cattle for the past few days, and the most I have got was a light haze. Well today I loaded up and took off and it puffed more than normal, but it was idling for about an hour, so I thought it was just cleaning out. Well after that every take off the truck is layin out a cloud like I have 238's, hot tuning, and a stock turbo. The turbo was whistling like normal and my mileage seemed to be the same as always. The was no check engine light or any of that. I checked the turbo and there seemed to be no play. The weather is 77 degrees, 61% humidity, and raining. Didn't know if weather would play a role in this or not. Anybody have any ideas? And sorry for the long a$$ post lol

No I used that as a comparison. I would never do that to my turbo lol. It got stock injectors. I didn't have a chance to scan it yet. I have never seen it this bad for this long. Now today it acted fine. idk maybe my truck just had a bug up its azz and decided to waste my fuel. (my truck seems to have a mind of its own fyi) Its now fair week for me so it will stay busy hauling livestock, so I'll keep an eye on the mirror to see if it does it again. Its puzzling until I run the codes

Is your boost normal? Could be leaking uppipes reducing boost or a bad MAP sensor (it controls fuelling).

I don't have gauges yet, but its next on the list. I thought about the MAP sensor today. I looked at the uppipes as best as I could and didn't see any soot on the fire wall, and besides my turbo spools great anyway.

you've got an air issue somewhere. Unless that superchips is ***king up an inj(big surprise there) and its haning open and washing a cylinder. Time for an inj buzz test.

With stock sticks, Id be slightly worried. This doesnt seem right. How are egts driving, towing, etc?

Well its got a brand new air filter (6637), It idles fine with no smoke or haze, and it only did that for a day. I hate the superchips cause of the low horsepower settings (and other obvious reasons), but it helps with economy thats why its on there. I am about to roll 300,000 sometime before this winter, and to my knowledge the injectors have never been out of the engine. Tomorrow I am taking it to a neighbors house to plug it into the software. I'll know more then.

I pulled the codes off my truck today, and all but one had to do with cruise control failure (a problem I have been fighting for years). The other code was 0235 MAP. I would assume this would be a MAP sensor issue. Anybody know what the code stands for?
