I am going to be changing out my Suncoast converter to go with something else here soon... But was wondering what stall to go with this time the truck will have a very large non-vgt charger... I was thinking an 800 over stock

Thanks,

IDK...everything that i've heard is that no matter what stall you get it'll still be the same as stock. I've been told and heard this alot and doesn't really make sense.

Thats weird... I was thinking the higher stall would help me on the track

I believe i heard stock stall is around 1600. I remember Tadd at elite had said a while back that they tried a 1800 2400 3000 and 3300 stall converters and all had stalled at around 1800. All the converters tested were suncoast...so idk....kinda wierd.

yeah the reason behind it is im pretty sure suncoast uses the same stator in the converter which is why they all stall around the same rpm...

look into the 6.4 RCD converter they changed the stator in it i believe which is why its been so successful in the 6.4.

Does someone want to give a quick crash course on stall speeds and what it actually is or how it works?
