I love the Caltracs on my Dmax... install kind of sucks because you have to take the springs out, press out the front bushings and install the new aluminum bushings. But the traction bars work great...

I have them on my truck and they work awesome! Haven't had a chance to run it at the track yet but it def puts the power to the ground.

There are 8 and 9 second cars running Caltracs, so 60' times will vary according to setup, power level, weight, type of slicks, reaction time, etc

I can say from a dead stop it hooked up 80% better than it did before, the great thing about cal tracs is you can adjust and unload them whenever needed.

i wonder what the bang comes from

i should of explained it better. it what happes when you have the pre load to tight for just driving around and not racing and you hit pot holes and such i was told tho you could put piece of rubber hose around the bolt that contacts the leef spring and it will be alot less nosie

caltracs are noisy, just due to the nature of the design. Its not at all bad daily driving, just dont put too much tension on them.

If your driving at preload and someone wants to race. Is there a way to mark them so you can go back to loaded? Just wondering how far to load them and how you keep up with it if they are unloaded most of the time.

so when you race you tighten them up?

They work great the way I have them set for the street. If I were going to the track I'd remove the hose and set them up with slightly more preload. They don't need much.
